What's New at Sonoma County's Biggest
and Most Popular Event?
SPLASH DOGS!
What's more American than your dog jumping in with you? Fast becoming one of America's most popular outdoor events, dogs compete for distance, diving from a dock into a 25 ft. pool. You'll see the Splash Dogs every day at this year's Fair.

STAR-SPANGLED FUN AT EVERY TURN
In keeping with our patriotic theme, you'll find parades, patriotic songs, and lots of new contests and participatory events this year! We're turning back the clock to a small town celebration, to patriotism without politics.
Watch the master blacksmith in action at the Colonial Crossroads(3 shows a day!), try your hand at candle-making or spinning and weaving, or put on some period clothes and see how you'd look if you were Betsy Ross or Ben Franklin.
Also at Colonial Crossroads, you don't want to miss Brien engel playing the Glass Harp, a marvelous instrument made with 50 glasses! (also 3 shows a day)
NEW SUSTAINABLE SONOMA EXHIBIT
We all agree we want to preserve our beautiful blue & green planet for future generations--but sometimes don't know what to do.
A visit to the Fair's new Sustainable Sonoma Exhibit will give you dozens of ways to reduce your carbon footprint and live more lightly on the earth, from practical ways to drive less to worm composting, from simple ways to eat locally to water-wise gardening, this engaging exhibit includes entertainment, hands-on activities for all ages, displays and products for you to try.

DO A GOOD DEED & SAVE AT THE FAIR!
"Ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country." John F. Kennedy
1961
In keeping with the patriotic theme of the 2008 Sonoma County Fair, we invite you to join us in doing whatever we can for our country and community. You'll feel great about it-and even better when you learn that your donation this summer will save you $2 on your admission to the Fair!
Both Fridays of the Fair are Food Bank Fridays. On July 25 and August 1, bring two items of non-perishable food (cans, boxes) to the Brookwood Gate and you get $2 off Fair Admission that day.
July 23 and July 30 are Support Our Schools Wednesdays. We're trying to fill a school bus with supplies to help our local schools. Bring 2 new packages of school supplies (paper, felt pens, calculators, etc.) and you get $2 off Fair Admission that day. Just take your donation to the big First Student school bus parked out front. On Thursday morning each week (July 24, July 31), a drawing will be held to choose the Sonoma County School district that will receive the school supplies.
Please note: There is a limit of one discount per person, per day.
