Frequently Asked Questions About Sonoma County Fair Facility:
Rental Q: May we bring our alcohol to our event at a hall or space on the fairgrounds? A: The Fairgrounds do not allow event organizers to provide their own alcoholic beverages. All alcohol service must be handled by the fairgrounds food and beverage service.
Q: Are we required to hire security for our event? A: Yes. We will put you in touch with professional security firms to meet this requirement. Q: Is there a fee for parking? A: Yes—there is a fee for parking for all events that are open to the public. This policy may or may not apply in the case of private parties.
Q: Am I required to pay a deposit in order to reserve the building(s)/space we wish to use for our event? A: Yes. Your reservation is not complete until the deposit has been paid. Failure to submit the deposit on time could result in cancellation of your reservation.
Q: Do I need to have insurance to rent a facility at the fairgrounds? A: Yes. In most cases you can purchase an insurance policy to cover your event through the fairgrounds.
Q: Do I need a permit from the Fire Department for my event? A: Most public events require a permit from the Fire Marshal. We can assist you in obtaining your permit. Most private events do not require a permit from the Fire Department.
